Entering dates into your calendar

It seems very formal to “create an event”; to my ears that sounds more like planning a party. But to add dates into your Google Calendar, you will want to create an event. The instructions in these tutorials are assuming that the user is working on a Chromebook, and instructions will be structured with that presumption.

The quick, simple and minimal way to add an item to your calendar is to simply click on the date of the event, type in the name, and change the time. It’s pretty quick and easy.

But there is a lot more you can do in Google Calendar, including booking rooms, adding guests, finding a time when more than one person can meet (without running all over asking everyone face-to-face), and including a link for a video chat (Google Hangouts) should some of your guests be at a distance.
